Waleska is
the home of Reinhardt College.
Almost everyone in Waleska has
some relationship with the
college. Some are employees;
some are students; some are
alumni, and others are
neighbors.
While the area in
the Waleska community has grown
tremendously, the town itself
has retained its small town
charm. The people of Waleska
gather each Fourth of July for
an ice cream party and again in
early December for hot chocolate
as we celebrate the holiday
season by lighting Waleska’s
Christmas tree and the official
arrival of Santa himself. Our
children play at Waleska Park
and Cline Park. Passing through
Waleska, you may see people
taking walks and running on the
city sidewalks, Reinhardt
College’s beautifully landscaped
campus and Boston Nature Trail.
Living in the
City of Waleska and the
surrounding area affords the
opportunity to attend the many
events on the Reinhardt campus.
Even the Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra performs annually at
the Falany Performing Arts
Center. Not to be forgotten is
the wonderful Sunday buffet at
Reinhardt’s Gordy Center where
the after church crowd and other
visitors gather.

While we enjoy
the conveniences of today and
look forward to the future,
history is respected and
preserved in Waleska. The Funk
Heritage Center and adjacent
Early American Village draws
thousands of visitors each year.
Through artifacts, interactive
computer programs and extensive
art exhibitions, the center
focuses on the history and art
of the Southeastern Indians and
European settlers.
As we welcome you
to visit our web site, we also
welcome you to visit the City of
Waleska. Stroll throughout the
town and drop in at any of the
businesses that interest you. Be
sure not to pass Callahan’s
Gifts without going in to see
their unique items. After
Callahan’s you may want to cross
the street to the Grady Street
Café for fabulous pizza and what
may be the best milkshakes you
will find anywhere.
When you visit
our web site we hope you will
find the information you need.
When you visit our town we hope
you depart with warm memories.
